Meet the 2019 Ian Wilson Memorial Fellow, Rachel Gregg

Join us on Sunday 17th March at Burnside Library for cheese, wine and finger food, and to meet illustrator Rachel Gregg.

Illustrator and photographer, Rachel Gregg from NSW, is the Ian Wilson Memorial Fellow for 2019.

This fellowship was established by the Trust to honour one of its founders and first Chair, the late Hon. Ian Wilson AM and supports emerging authors or illustrators with creative time residencies and professional development.

Rachel's fellowship project in March 2019 will be to work on a picture book called Nana Jacaranda, in which a group of children find solace in native trees, following experiences of loss. This story will reflect Australian voices and themes and draw on Rachel’s own deep connection to the natural environment and its inhabitants. Rachel is also a rescuer and rehabilitator of native species.
