Congratulations

Two of our 2008 CTR Fellows have been shortlisted for the Children's Book Council of Australia's Book of the Year Award. John Heffernan for MARTY'S SHADOW in the Older Readers category and Elise Hurst for THE NIGHT GARDEN in the Early Childhood category.

A number of past CTR Fellows have been shortlisted as well. Leonie Norrington for two books: YOU AND ME: OUR PLACE in the Picture Book category and LEAVING BARRUMBI in the Older Readers category. Also shortlisted in the Older Readers category was Meme McDonald for LOVE IS LIKE WATER. Anne Spudvilas was shortlisted for THE PEASANT PRINCE in the Picture Book category. Gaye Chapman and Tohby Riddle are among the fourteen children's illustrators who contributed to DUST, shortlisted for Picture Book of the Year.
